Americans given 'decree violation' scores during covid lockdowns

In a twist that should surprise no one in a post-Snowden world, a company was watching your every move during the covid lockdowns to measure your level of compliance.

If you thought your secret trips out of the house to get supplies or perhaps just visits to relatives weren’t being monitored during the covid lockdowns and you had your smartphone with you, then you’re wrong. Thanks for killing Grandma. Just kidding. But you really were being tracked.

PredictWise, an analytics and data firm specializing in political polling and financial data, was apparently given the green light to mine the smartphone data from tens of millions of Americans to determine their compliance levels during high covid lockdown periods in a devious scheme to target compliant individuals to secure votes for Democrats in 2020.

It seems they also don’t sell their services to Republicans, if PredictWise’s customers, emblazoned proudly on their website are any indication:

To give you an idea of how this company accomplishes all of this, I’ll quote PredictWise directly:

”PredictWise data tracks the opinions, attitudes, and behaviors (location data, media consumption) of more than 260 million Americans through a mix of telemetry data(passively sourced cell-phone data) and survey data.”

So not only are they tracking your physical location — which you’re forced to put out there in the ether because most apps won’t work right or allow you to use them without that permission — but they are also tracking the type of media you consume through your smartphone to assess which political party you’re more likely to be affiliated with, as well as your race, gender, and many other points of data meant to reduce you to a statistic assessed for probability of voting Democrat to then retarget you again and again to win you over to that side of the political spectrum.

To tie this in with the original premise of this article and just why this is absolutely alarming, we must look at a particular ‘dashboard’ PredictWise has developed called Signal.

”PredictWise developed a dashboard that enables campaigns to build scalable customized audiences based on real-world behaviors and attitudes that track sentiment on the economy, political issues, and value frames for over three years from all 250 million adult U.S. voters. The data is compiled through real-time locations, application usage, and media consumption layered on top of surveys and available raw data.”

This is where things get spooky. As I mentioned earlier, they’ve developed what I can only describe as a social credit score associated with the data they collected called a ‘decree violation score’. Again, from the horse’s mouth:

”PredictWise targeted Republicans who scored high on our measure of Covid-19 decree violation (folks who were on the go more often than their neighbors) and Republicans who scored low on our measure of Covid-19 decree violation (folks who mostly or always stayed at home) in the swing state, Ohio, and asked survey questions.”

I really feel like the part about the survey questions was just something inserted to soften the blow of the startling admission that they targeted location data of Republicans specifically, singling out people of a particular party to suit their agenda. As was made painfully apparent by disclosures made by Edward Snowden back in 2013, the way such data is used is rarely noble, and almost always devious.

PredictWise mentions having analyzed almost 2 billion GPS pings for this particular study, where they describe Republicans whose ‘location patterns’ often remained static as ‘compliers’. Their findings suggest that these ‘compliers’ were as easily persuaded as Democrats overall, and that Republican ‘compliers’ over age 65 were even more prone to being persuaded by covid-19 fear-mongering to aid in tilting their political sentiment toward Democrat candidates.

To put all this another way: Leftist tech industry geeks mined your smartphone data and used it like an electronic ankle monitor to watch your movements during periods of high lockdown to measure your level of compliance with lockdowns as corrupt politicians ruled by decree with their precious ‘emergency powers’ that many still refuse to surrender, such as California Governor Gavin Newsom, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

They ( PredictWise ) of course still claim it was merely for ‘targeting potential voters for Democrats’ — which is already devious enough — but how long before such data is used in more authoritarian methods? I’m thinking it has already been used in that way.

I’m just speculating here, but how do we know data like this wasn’t also used to track potential suspects who were present at the Capitol building on January 6th? Which as we know is a crime worthy of incarceration in substandard conditions, often without trial. What an efficient way to gulag your political opponents. Stalin would be proud. It’s no wonder Democrats love it.

Imagine how thrilled the Nazis would have been if they could have just tracked all the Jews through smartphone data. But as we know, the typical leftist cultist doesn’t actually know the true meaning of the word ‘fascism’. If they did, one look in the mirror would horrify them, if they’re really as ‘anti-fascist’ as they claim to be.

It’s no secret that advertisers mine data to employ targeted advertisements to be sent to the people most like to click on it and make a purchase, but the fact that our data is also being used for political purposes and potentially even for law enforcement? That is unconstitutional in my eyes, being tantamount to unlawful searches happening every time you use your phone.
