California State Senator Scott Wiener made a rookie mistake when creating a hate message to drum up sympathy and rage against the right.

Whatever your feelings are on social media — whether you believe it to be a groundbreaking achievement allowing human beings to instantaneously interact and share their lives with one another, or if you think it’s a waste of time and a blight on humanity — you have to admit that it’s funny sometimes.
Controversial California state senator Scott Wiener (D-11) decided to share a bit of unsettling news with the world about how he had received a threat from a MAGA Republican. I think we can all agree that there is no place in discourse for threats or acts of violence, we’re still at least somewhat civilized, even if all that is gradually crumbling as time goes on. However, there’s just one problem… Scott Wiener himself appears to have wrote the text, since he couldn’t be bothered to remove the cursor before he screenshotted it.
Caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Or his Wiener, as it were.
Wiener’s weak excuse for his fumble is that he claims that he was transcribing a voicemail message. What I find funny is that roughly halfway through his ‘transcription’, Wiener realized he was just typing in his own voice, so he attempted to dice up the language a bit and leave out a few words here and there so that the fictitious perpetrator seemed more uncouth and uneducated to sell the MAGA-supporter stereotype.
What Scott Wiener is referring to when it comes to his accusations of ‘homophobia’ from Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk is the fact that Kirk pointed out Wiener’s instrumental role in pushing laws that allow for pedophiles to potentially avoid registering as a sex offender for their crimes if the act was ‘voluntary’. This type of legislation would ultimately open the door to allow minors to consent to all sorts of things, as it would offer legal precedent to argue in favor of lowering the age of consent, or abolishing it entirely.
Think of it like this: Wiener's bill that allows families to bring ‘trans kids’ to California to seek surgical mutilation and dangerous medications for their ‘gender dysphoria’ is now law, and the fact that he authored such a bill tells you his stance on that issue. That means that he will likely push to end age of consent restrictions and allow for kids who are still very much in the custody of their parents to seek out medical assistance for their transition without the consent of said parents.
Kirk also referred to the fact that Wiener is also the guy who fought to reduce penalties for intentionally giving someone HIV by having sex with them without disclosing one’s HIV positive status. Yep, he’s that type of guy. And people voted for him for some reason.
Naturally, people on social media are calling this out as Jussie Smollett 2.0. Including Charlie Kirk himself.
So naturally, Scott Wiener should face the same penalty as Jussie Smollett by losing his job and facing jail time. Of course, that won’t happen in California. As I’ve said so many times before on this Substack, Democrats will not prosecute themselves.
Wiener, so far, is sticking to his guns on this. I will update this if he happens to provide proof that he’s not full of shit, but I won’t hold my breath.
