Honesty is not always the best policy: The post-facts world sees people punished for telling the truth
The First amendment is under attack from all sides. It's time to defend our rights.
“In a room where people unanimously maintain a conspiracy of silence, one word of truth sounds like a pistol shot.” ― Czesław Miłosz
Nothing is more true than this in our modern world: Truth and emotion simply cannot coexist.
I’m reminded of the trend in recent years where misguided idiots on social media implore others to never fear telling “their truth.” It’s a misnomer of the highest order because truth is not personal, the truth is absolute. There is only one version of the truth, otherwise it ceases being true.
To the end that truth and emotion cannot coexist, we’re given constant reminders of that practically every single day on social media. Professional liars with big money and influence backing them get pushed to the top of social media algorithms, while people like myself who deal in truth are held down and silenced by shadowbanning, deboosting, and other nefarious tricks invented by companies like Twitter/X as a means to curate their platform in order to maximize the appeal to ideologues with advertising bucks to spend.
Furthermore, I don’t think Twitter/X is proving to be the ‘bastion of citizen journalism’ that Elon Musk claimed it would become when those citizen journalists get suspended from the platform for daring to investigate strange happenings around elites.
I’m of course referring to investigative journalist Dom Lucre’s well-timed suspension from Twitter/X that was supposedly for sharing Child Sexual Exploitation material. That was Elon Musk’s comments on the matter, anyway, as you can see below. Naturally, we can’t see the meat and potatoes of the tweet in question that Twitter/X suspended Lucre over to make that determination for ourselves.
Left-wing media quickly jumped into the fray to denigrate Lucre’s name and standing by aligning him with ‘QAnon’ and using many other bullshit buzzwords that causes their blind followers to deactivate their brains and stop listening whenever they hear them.
For example, I believe that the BBC’s Shayan Sardarizadeh described Lucre as a "right-wing conspiracy theorist and QAnon follower." So yeah, like I said, silly buzzwords intended to end discussion and to bury Lucre’s credibility.
It had all the hallmarks of a Liberal Media hitjob, and it was because he dared to mess with the left’s messiah himself, Barack Obama.
Lucre’s suspension just so happened to coincide with the fact that he was reporting heavily on the strange circumstances surrounding the death of former White House chef Tafari Campbell, who died in an apparent drowning while paddleboarding in a Martha’s Vineyard pond near the Obamas’ property.
Yes, he was paddleboarding in a pond.
I can’t imagine that was much fun considering ponds aren’t very big, so that’s a bit strange. What makes it extra strange is that he was reportedly a very strong swimmer — and Campbell even had a companion with him at the time of his apparent drowning who reported what they witnessed to the police, who stated that Campbell went “into the water, appeared to briefly struggle to stay on the surface, and then submerged and did not resurface.”
Stranger still, drowning seems to be a popular way for former White House chefs to die, since the chef who was hired by the Clintons and served in the post for 11 years, Walter Scheib, died by drowning as well.
Sure, it’s probably a coincidence. But the stench of death tends to follow the Clintons, and it seems to be following the Obamas as well. If that many people died around Trump that would be constantly brought up by the media and social media slobs alike. But I digress.
Another more high-profile example of why the truth is dangerous to those in power was the curious case of independent journalist Alex Berenson being unduly suspended from Twitter/X on August 28th, 2021 for the following tweet:
What do you notice right away on that tweet? For me, the “fact-check” below the tweet — which turned out to be entirely false — was immediately emblazoned on the tweet to discredit what he was saying. Again, what Berenson said in this tweet was true, but in keeping with the theme of this piece, honesty is not the best policy when it comes to controlling the public. Furthermore, some very powerful people at the time stepped in to silence Berenson because of his significant reach and potential for generating “vaccine hesitancy” amongst the public.
This was a permanent suspension at the time, for which Alex Berenson eventually sued and won. That lawsuit is a very interesting read, and the link for that is here. One thing in particular that the lawsuit includes is that on July 11th, 2021, Dr. Anthony Fauci -- The Science™ himself -- had the nerve to call Berenson's comments "horrifying" because as we all know by now, Fauci is allergic to the truth.
Furthermore, we've been apprised through the Twitter Files that at the time of Berenson's undue suspension for telling the truth, Twitter's offices basically resembled another government bureaucracy with them taking cues from the establishment shills in various government agencies that included but are not limited to the FBI and DHS.
Worse still, the fucking President of the United States himself, Joe Biden, had the nerve to claim that comments like Berensons were literally killing people. And isn't it so very interesting that mere hours after Biden's misgivings, Berenson was suspended for the first time from the platform. And as previously stated, according to the lawsuit, calls from the government directly contributed to the decision to suspend Alex Berenson from Twitter for merely doing his job as a journalist. So it only took roughly a month and a half for Berenson to be silenced by the U.S. government for just telling the truth.
Lots of authoritarian apologists on the left will say otherwise, but if a government official's misgivings lead to you being kicked off a platform that has served as the world's foremost arena for global discussion, then that is a direct government intervention and infringement on your First Amendment rights as an American citizen. And it is in these murky waters that the Biden Dictatorship has been very successful in circumventing the Bill of Rights without any meaningful pushback from the legislative branch save for meaningless political theater hearings that are only meant to generate clicks on YouTube and placate idiot voters who believe such political theater to be proof that their rights are being defended by their elected officials.
Frankly, I’m tired of all of it.
This is one of the reasons I’ve been away from writing for so long. It seems futile when I try to report things as honestly as I can, and to give my honest takes on things when my words are censored. I myself was a victim of heavy-handed suspensions on Twitter/X.
I got 7 days off from Twitter/X from that tweet. It wasn’t my cleverest input, but I don’t think it was offensive to anyone but Klaus Schwab and Yuval Harari, maybe. Or maybe there is a vehement fan of Chick-Fil-A in Twitter/X that took severe offense to me besmirching the good name of a mediocre fast food joint that gets by peddling sugar, salt, and fat to overweight Americans just like the rest of those filthy fast food companies.
I personally think a better fight would be forcing these companies that are making Americans fatter and unhealthier by the day to clean up their act and offer healthy menu options that aren’t priced at a 600% markup on their less healthy offerings. But I digress once again.
We live in a world where honesty and integrity are punishable offenses, where words are as lethal as weapons if you hear the powers that be telling the story. It’s a bad joke and we as Americans need to spearhead the initiative to remove FOREVER the very possibility of silencing someone for saying something inconvenient to the American oligarchy whose aims are to irreperably undo the last vestiges of freedom we have left.
I was always under the impression that the truth does not fear scrutiny, while lies cannot stand it. Honest people don’t shy away from their words being challenged, only liars do. It’s apparent now that those liars hold high posts in government and Big Tech alike, otherwise we wouldn’t see a full on war against truth.
If the powers that be wish to silence our words, then we have to be louder and move to the next option afforded to We The People by the Bill of Rights before it is too late.
That’s why the Second Amendment exists after all, just in case the first one fails. Guns speak a lot louder.
