NBC News report on Monkeypox sparks controversy and questions
With reports abound about children -- and even a household pet -- contracting monkeypox, people are demanding answers after NBC News' latest monkeypox report.
NBC News' latest report on monkeypox has Twitter lefties proverbially sticking their fingers in their ears and saying 'lalalala' to avoid addressing a harsh truth -- intercourse between infected persons seem to be the biggest avenue for transmission of the disease, and that assuming skin-to-skin contact as being the primary culprit is ‘backwards’. In light of this report, it has a lot of people asking questions on social media about cases where children — with the latest case being confirmed in Oregon — and a dog have contracted the disease as well.
On August 4th, 2022, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services declared the U.S. monkeypox outbreak, which began on May 17th, to be a public health emergency. Since then, the Twitter bots have been waging war on any information that they deem ‘bigoted’ as the disease manifests in gay males more than any other demographic by a wide margin. The inconvenient news that transmission of monkeypox is primarily through sexual contact has them screaming to the high heavens, as it brings up questions about the cases in children and even a dog. This of course comes at an interesting time with Big Tech absolutely waging war on anyone who is suggesting that some LGBT+ people are child groomers or pedophiles under the convenient guise of protecting people from “hateful conduct” — a blanket term used to punish sensible people for wrongthink.
We’ve already known of the rampant hypocrisy of those who insist everyone should believe science until science produces findings inconvenient to their narrative. Well, this situation won’t help them. Scientific evidence published in several peer-reviewed journals has emerged recently, suggesting that experts — presumably in their zeal to remain politically correct and not attract the ire of the woke mob — may have been mistaken in their initial conclusions regarding intercourse being the most viable avenue of transmission for monkeypox.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), working in tandem with the NHS and public health agencies of the 4 nations to investigate the monkeypox outbreak have found that,”monkeypox is predominantly being transmitted in interconnected sexual networks of GBMSM (Gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men): the majority of cases report multiple sexual partners in the last 3 months, history of a sexually transmitted infection (STI) in the last year, and/or use of human immunodeficiency pre-exposure prophylaxis (HIV PrEP).”
The UK, as of August 1st, 2022 has seen a distribution of cases primarily dispersed between males in the age range of 25-44, with 1,839 cases. It’s important to note that the 16-24 range has 153 cases, while there is only a single case in ages 0-15. But Twitter should at least be delighted that it’s predominately white males getting the disease, with 76.4% of those infected fitting in that demographic.
Even our very own Center for Disease Control (CDC) has to concede that the transmission rate is largely predicated on sexual contact, rather than mere skin-to-skin contact, as previously posited. They write,”Among 2,891 cases reported in the United States through July 22 by 43 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia (DC), CDC received case report forms for 1,195 (41%) cases by July 27. Among these, 99% of cases were among men; among men with available information, 94% reported male-to-male sexual or close intimate contact during the 3 weeks before symptom onset. Among the 88% of cases with available data, 41% were among non-Hispanic White (White) persons, 28% among Hispanic or Latino (Hispanic) persons, and 26% among non-Hispanic Black or African American (Black) persons.” I guess white privilege comes through again, with white people hogging the lionshare of cases here at home, as well. Al Gore has his premise for ‘An inconvenient truth 2: Electric boogaloo'.
Of course, in the NBC News report, they try to temper the fervor by offering up Dr. Rosamund Lewis, technical lead for monkeypox at the World Health Organization as a voice of reason. She calls the findings about monkeypox “unfortunate but true” but tempers it by saying “we don’t know yet” whether the virus is predominantly transmitted through intercourse.
“Completely reading the situation as uniquely due to anal or oral sex is highly likely to be overreach,” Lewis said. “The correlation may appear to be strong, but that does not explain the whole picture of disease caused by this virus. So we need to keep an open mind.”
Another skeptic is Dr. Paul Adamson, an infectious disease specialist at the UCLA School of Medicine. Of course he’s based out of Southern California, that just fits so well. He states that he isn’t sure sexual transmission of monkeypox is the primary vehicle for spreading the disease… because skin-to-skin contact also occurs during sex. Yes. That was his rationale. He at least admits that emerging data suggests that monkeypox is “more efficiently transmitted sexually,” I guess even he had to come to grips with it.
“I’m not sure we can say it is primarily the sexual transmission and not the skin-to-skin contact that also occurs during sex that is contributing to the most transmission during this current outbreak. However, emerging data seem to suggest that monkeypox might be more efficiently transmitted sexually.”
In an era where saying the word ‘groomer’ can get you canceled for daring to raise any stink over the obvious grooming practices of children by adults in trusted positions who have been running rampant this year with 181 convictions of teachers having improper relations with kids — and those are just the ones we know about — it’s the screeching on Twitter that really reveals the most about the woke mob’s concerns about this situation.
Yet another indefensible position to defend, but fear not — Twitter is on the case, and will no doubt use their midterm election wrongthink filter on behalf of the noisy minority of voices they protect so vehemently.
In closing, I’m calling for an investigation into every case where a child ended up sick, as well as the one with the dog, time for some wellness checks.
