NBC's racism shows, sends out tweet relating migrants to 'trash'

Leftist hypocrisy continues to get exposed as more migrants are sent from red states to deep blue aristocrat strongholds like Martha's Vineyard.

It's amazing what happens when champagne socialists are confronted with the people they insist on letting into the country with open border policies, so long as they themselves never have to face, or deal with them. They’re fine with letting migrants enter and inhabit places they themselves will never visit. It’s also in times like these, with governors of states who are often inundated with illegal immigrants getting so fed up with ineffective Federal border policies that they’ve taken to sending said immigrants to leftist-run cities who proudly declare themselves ‘sanctuary cities’ until it comes down to paying the piper and actually cashing the checks that they write with their rhetoric. It’s also in times like these that they let things slip that sort of shoot holes in their ‘tolerant left’ veneer, and that goes high into the hallowed halls of NBC News, as well.

NBC News is in hot water on social media after posting a rather insensitive tweet, pictured below, which has since been deleted.

The article that was linked in the now deleted tweet shows a little more context behind the quote, attributing it to an advertising executive by the name of Max Lefeld, who lives in Martha’s Vineyard. For those who aren’t otherwise aware, Martha’s Vineyard is a very wealthy community situated on an island off the coast of Massachusetts south of Cape Cod. Martha’s Vineyard is basically a cluster of six towns that attracts the super wealth, boasting a median home price of $1.325 million as of April of 2022. In other words, this is not a location one might expect to find immigrants unless the wealthy citizens living there hired them as servants of some sort. And people like Max Lefeld aren’t used to having to intermingle with the ‘unwashed masses’ living on a wealthy and sequestered island community allows them to avoid, hence the ignorant statement he made equating them with trash transported to another’s home and dumped out.

It points to a larger hypocrisy held by prominent members of the left who would pander to their base in a heartbeat by declaring the past administration’s border policies to be ‘cruel’ yet turning a blind eye to the human trafficking nightmare that has unfolded at the U.S.-Mexico border, and the ongoing issues of immigration coming into southern states like Florida which have a unique scenario to deal with as well. Before migrants started turning up in Democrat-run cities, they were all too happy to encourage open borders. Now that they’re having the problem rammed down their throats and seeing just a microscopic amount of a larger problem as those people arrive in their towns, they suddenly find themselves agreeing with Republicans, including Donald Trump, on the need for tougher border policy.

Barack Obama also has a home in Martha’s Vineyard; 7 bedrooms and 8.5 baths. Certainly he could help house these poor migrants until they’ve been able to establish themselves here. And what about bleeding heart liberals like Meg Ryan? She also has a swanky residence there. She could also do her part. Declaring an emergency and calling for military assistance seems like the privilege of the wealthy and powerful. You see how quickly they washed their hands of those people, not wanting to risk them making things unclean on their sequestered little island of opulence.

What about Spike Lee? Carly Simon? James Taylor? Diane Sawyer? Certainly they could also open their homes to help stem the tide. But of course they won’t. Wealthy and famous people like to pontificate to us from award stages about how we need to do better. How we need to deal with the many problems our world faces, but when it comes to doing their part, they suddenly falter. Where’s Lizzo to swoop in and make the world a better place? She certainly had a lot to say on that awards stage, trying to tell the rest of us what we need to do because she feels oppressed. The absolute audacity of it all is gobsmacking.

But no, instead they’ve elected to send the migrants to a military base in Cape Cod, instead. That’s right, the rich are trying to get the migrants off of their special little island before their presence drops their property values. In an area where 80% of the votes from Martha’s Vineyard went for Biden in 2020, this is surprisingly heartless. Why not give them a soft bed in a swanky Martha’s Vineyard home instead of relegating them to cots in a military base? Because they don’t want to personally deal with it, they just wanted to virtue signal. When it comes to putting their money where their mouth is, they wash their hands of it and cry for something to be done.

It’s just like anything else, though; people look at the names and party affiliations and divide accordingly. The useful idiots on Twitter are jumping through hoops already to try and ‘but Trump’ their way out of this one, too. Let them squirm.
