North Dakota man charged with murdering teenager has been released on bond
Shannon Brandt, who admitted to police that he murdered Cayler Ellingson over a political argument, is now out of jail.
Shannon Brandt, the North Dakota man who stalked and murdered 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson with his vehicle after what Brandt stated was a ‘political argument’ between the two, then left the scene of the crime not once, but twice, has been released after posting a $50,000 bond. Brandt, a Democrat, believed that Ellingson was part of a ‘Republican extremist group’ and claimed in his call to dispatchers that Ellingson had called other members of the alleged extremist group he claims Ellingson belonged to, to ‘come after him’.
Brandt, who had also admitted to drinking prior to the altercation, had pursued Ellingson long enough for Ellingson to make not one, but two phone calls to his mother in the time it took for Brandt to hunt him down and kill him. Apparently, according to Ellingson’s mother, she knew Brandt and had stated before Ellingson was killed that she was coming to get him. Sadly, his mother wouldn’t get the chance to say goodbye to her son before Brandt killed him in a heinously grievous manner, crushing Ellingson in an alleyway with his vehicle.
So what do we have here? A man gets drunk and belligerent, starts an altercation with a kid that’s young enough to be his son, and kills him in cold blood. Naturally, the less-than-honorable Judge James Hovey sees fit to set a bond low enough for Brandt to get out of jail and sleep like a fucking baby in his own bed after literally murdering a kid for his political alignment. Does no one else see a problem with this? The bond either should’ve been much higher or it shouldn’t have been granted at all. I guess since President Biden basically told psychopaths like Brandt that it’s perfectly okay to murder Republicans since they’re ‘radical extremists’ then that makes it all okay. And the best part? Even if Brandt does get life in prison, he’ll have to kill someone else while behind bars before the death penalty can even be considered.
I will fully admit to having a brutal sense of justice, myself. If you kill someone, that should be the fate you also get for that crime. No ifs, ands, or buts. I know hippies like to say ‘an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind’ but we have urban areas right now absolutely teeming with crime because criminals are not being punished by do-nothing George Soros-backed District Attorneys. If there is no penalty, then there is no deterrent. Democrats are relying on everyone to have a conscience, when very few people do. Criminals are rarely ever sorry for the crimes they commit, they’re just sorry that they got caught. This madness has to stop. This is not America anymore if this is how things are done. The very idea of ‘defunding the police’ has gone several steps further and defunded the court systems, as well.
I will go even further to suggest that we all do our part to absolutely bombard our elected representatives with letters, emails, and phone calls, to push for criminal justice reform that requires criminals as violent as Brandt to not be allowed to post bond for at least 180 days or even until his first court date comes and goes. Time served is a thing for a reason, if he gets a lighter sentence, then that 180 days goes toward that. The fact that there’s seemingly no immediate repercussions for criminals even in Republican strongholds now is a travesty of justice and it will lead us down a more dangerous path. Furthermore, tyrants like Biden and his ilk are actively trying to make it so you, the law-abiding citizen just trying to live in peace, will not have the means to protect yourself as they continue their attempts to erode the 2nd amendment, just like how they’ve used Big Tech social media to erode the 1st.
I cannot stress this enough — this November midterm election is the most important midterm of our lives. Get everyone you know to register, and make sure they go vote. If you don’t, you might not recognize the country you live in anymore after the current tyrannical power structure completes their dictatorial push to permanently consolidate their power.
The time to act is now. Silence is consent. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. It’s time to start being vigilant.
