Out-of-touch Energy Secretary Granholm touts solar program to solve inflation
Hey everybody, if you're struggling to pay for gasoline, just drop $80,000 on an electric vehicle and rope yourself into a solar panel scam for tens of thousands more to offset the pain of inflation.
Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm once again proves she is a waterhead by sticking her foot in her mouth as she ironically promotes a 30% tax break on solar panels as a way to ease the pain of inflation, because companies totally never price in tax breaks to make even more money. She also claims low income people can get their homes 'weatherized' ( energy-saving retrofitting; appliances, etc. ) without having to "pay for anything," Her words, not mine. Someone should probably tell her low income people often do not own their homes and thus wouldn't qualify to actually receive any of these benefits anyway without written permission from the owner of the property they live in? Would the benefits of doing so outweigh the fact that you’d essentially be paying your landlord’s costs on appliance upgrades they themselves should be footing the bill for? I’m not sure I’ve ever liked a landlord enough to do them a favor like that, I’d rather pay higher energy costs out of pure spite unless we could negotiate a 1-for-1 break on my rent fees commensurate to the amount of money the subsidized upgrades would save the landlord. This isn’t a feasible scenario.
Also I'm confused by this; I thought everything was great - wages are vastly outpacing inflation, and are we not enjoying a booming economy that has never been better? If that's the case, why do we need to save money on energy costs?
Jennifer Granholm is almost as unqualified for her job as Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. Both deliver canned responses that fail to inform, and don't seem to be required to know the inner workings of what they often talk about. At least it can be somewhat forgiven in Jean-Pierre's case because she has to field questions over a variety of topics. Granholm, on the other hand, is just an Energy Secretary. That should be a nice, narrow niche that she could study up on and really know the ins and outs of things, and be able to articulate them. You would think that, and you would be wrong.
Perhaps it could be perceived as me downplaying the Department of Energy's complex job, but that's why Granholm has smart people working under her. If we left it up to her to change a lightbulb we'd remain in the dark because if her answers to questions are any indication, the concept of 'righty tighty, lefty loosey' is beyond her intellect.
Granholm, like any good Biden regime staffer, occasionally makes appearances on television to fail to answer even softball questions and never be held accountable for it except by protective leftist media institutions who refuse, in most cases, to hold the Biden regime accountable for much of anything. After Joe deployed the Gestapo against his political enemies, though, I guess I see why.
I'm sure most people remember how Granholm employed the patented 'Kamala Cackle' to great effect as she deflected a question about any sort of plan to lower gas prices by increasing domestic oil production, and I understand why — it’s funny to hear someone ask a real question to the Biden regime. She naturally couldn't say that the plan was for Biden to repeatedly go off to other oil-producing nations with hat-in-hand, encouraging them to increase their production for our benefit, so laughing it off was all she could do. Needless to say the plan never worked. But at least Biden got a fist bump out of the deal.
For anyone paying attention, it should be painfully obvious that the real game here is to force your hand open and part you from the little bit of heavily devalued currency you still have left, especially if you're a small business owner who managed to survive the pandemic wealth transfer, somehow.
You will own nothing and be happy, after all.
