If it isn’t painfully apparent after viewing 5 minutes of media in the modern era, then let me clue you in on something: You’re being fed propaganda by your own fellow citizens at the behest of both elected and unelected leaders to shape the way you think and feel about all the problems those same consistently terrible leaders create either through inaction or ill-advised action. And given how consistently it happens, it doesn’t feel like it’s by accident.
But let’s start with the basics: what exactly IS propaganda?
Propaganda is a form of communication that aims to influence the beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors of its audience by presenting selective information in a manner that is intended to evoke a desired response. The use of propaganda can have a profound impact on the mind by shaping how individuals perceive the world and make decisions.
Propaganda can create or reinforce biases and beliefs, influence opinions and attitudes, and manipulate emotions, such as fear and anger. It can also limit access to information that contradicts its messages, making it difficult for individuals to critically evaluate the information they are receiving. So if you ever feel like something you’re watching is intentionally trying to get under your skin and stoke your ire about a given topic, it is.
It feels very much like we’re careening toward dystopia with every passing day — once again — if you pay acute attention to current events and the news cycle, and I think it’s very much meant to make us all lose hope. That’s one of the reasons I do what I do, because it’s better to see the messaging for what it is than to let it have the desired effect on you. Maintain hope out of pure spite, if that’s what motivates you. Become well-informed, in spite of the noise that attempts to prevent you from doing so.
It is easy to lose heart, though. I know that very well. It sort of seems to explain why people seek escapes, only to have the messaging of the current zeitgeist shoehorned into mediums like TV shows, video games, and movies that are meant to offer a reprieve from everyday life through entertainment, effectively robbing you of that escape. So you have to believe that someone out there wants you scared and angry all the time.
Scared and angry people are rarely rational, after all. And they’re often disorganized and distracted.
Know this, if nothing else: A rational, well-informed, and united population is the #1 enemy of any government. They would either have to clean up their act quickly in the face of public outrage at their consistently abhorrent policies or be overrun by their own constituents who demand change for the better and not merely empty campaign promises that go out the window as soon as an election is won.
That is why it’s important to keep the average person angry, scared, and uninformed. If just 10 to 15 percent of the voting age population refused to play the game of politics any longer by the current rules enabling the uniparty’s false dichotomy to keep control by providing the illusion of choice between the GOP and the Democratic Party, then the ruling elite would have to pay attention to the demands of that important portion of the voting age population and would have no choice but to govern honestly, lest they be ousted through peaceful processes or otherwise.
On the subject of a large swath of the population rejecting the status quo, we have to highlight Ross Perot’s Presidential campaign in 1992. The wake of that election showed the lengths that the powers-that-be would go to to maintain their uniparty stranglehold on the country, swiftly changing the rules enabling third party candidates to even participate in debates after the 1992 election saw Ross Perot, a billionaire industrialist from Texas, take nearly 19% of the popular vote from both George Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton. That kind of number would end the ability to secretly select Presidents rather than elect them, because eventually more and more people would be heartened to reject the current false dichotomy under which we perpetually suffer. A leader the people truly selected in an organically-conducted election might undo decades of work for the unelected owners of this country who desire above all else to consolidate their dominion permanently over the people of the United States. But the private corporation that runs those farcical debates would never want to run the risk of that scenario becoming reality.
The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD - a private nonprofit corporation, mind you) established a rule that candidates must garner at least 15% support across five national polls to be included in the national debates. So if you’ve ever wondered why third-party candidates often can’t get their foot in the door on the debate stage, this is why.
Quick side note: Ralph Nader’s exclusion from the 2000 Presidential Debates was the redpill moment that made me look deeper into politics at the ripe old age of 14. It made me curious why things are the way they are, and the deeper I have delved into such matters, the fouler things seem to be. But I digress.
If such large portions of the public remained jaded with the same old politics as usual after the 1992 Presidential election, then it was crucial to keep that number from growing any larger. Fortunately for the uniparty, the people were not nearly angry enough back then to start any sort of grass roots campaign that might sway the sentiments of much larger swaths of the population to lean toward upending the status quo in American politics. It was easy enough to bring dissenters back into the fold, especially as the economy roared back by the mid-1990s thanks to the rapid industrial and technological advancements that were made possible by the mass proliferation of internet connectivity and home computing solutions being made increasingly more affordable for the average household during the 1990s.
Naturally it quickly became obvious to use that technological windfall to bend the minds of common people to make them easier to control.
The internet — undoubtedly the most powerful tool in the modern propagandist’s arsenal — enabled another window through which the powers-that-be could feed more of their endless stream of propaganda directly into the consciousness of the public, thus laying the groundwork for the mass control matrix utilized today to attempt to police the very thoughts in people’s minds.
Though it does need to be noted that the internet has always traditionally been a double-edged sword in this regard, because anyone can broadcast their message over it. And dissenters to the official narratives forced upon us, like myself, have always used it to try and provide a more honest assessment of the goings-on in the world.
You can also see why the mass proliferation of internet usage would force the intelligence community to try and worm their way into every aspect of such a powerful information tool — including their infiltration into the companies that make the technology we all use to make sure the people don’t stay too well-informed. Luckily for them, large portions of citizens just use the internet to record and upload themselves doing moronic dances, these days.
And speaking of intelligence… talk about a sharply declining commodity.
I have noticed a sharp slide toward encouraging people to forego their own thoughts and opinions in recent years in order to make room for officially approved thoughts and opinions to be inserted into them, and many are willing to surrender their ability for autonomous thought because it’s easier to fit in than it is to stand out. And why wouldn’t the powers that be do this? Screens have raised kids for several generations by this point, but never more than the current generation coming up. Kids are now staring at screens more than ever. May as well keep the propaganda faucet on a steady drip, at least, to be on the safe side in case any of these kids get a funny notion of having their own thoughts and opinions that run counter to official positions on important matters.
The modern child’s excessive screen time has significant implications for their physical, mental, and emotional well-being, as well. Children are impressionable and easily coerced. Their emotions often hinge on approval from others, especially their parents. And when children can’t get approval from their parents, they will go looking for it elsewhere. Social media often becomes a tool to fill that void, and it can provide that dopamine hit that approval gives them. Soon, kids start to perceive their online presence and following as the sum of their worth as a person. And the media that the algorithms entice them to consume seems to be increasingly geared toward turning them into woke monsters that easily abandon reason for madness.
Gee, I wonder why we have a mental health crisis in this country, especially among our youth?
Even outside of the guiding hand of propaganda warping the minds of children, the dangers of too much screen time for children are well documented. Spending too much time in front of screens can lead to a sedentary lifestyle and increase the risk of obesity, poor posture, eye strain, and headaches. Excessive screen time has also been linked to depression, anxiety, and behavioral problems in children, and it can interfere with sleep, which is essential for good mental health. In addition, spending too much time on screens can reduce the opportunities for face-to-face interaction and limit children's ability to develop strong social skills, such as communication and empathy. And, to reiterate once again, it opens them up to being fed questionable ideas through the media they consume before their minds have fully formed, which can totally upend what type of person they end up becoming as they mature.
After all, when people are consistently exposed to propaganda long-term, those without the attention span to keep an eye on the world around them often start to accept that propaganda as truth and internalize its messages, even if they are not based on facts or evidence.
What worries me is how easy it seems to be to create a mass psychosis that has ideologically captured millions of people, and it’s because we are lazy.
We as human beings seem to be inclined toward choosing the path of least resistance. It’s just easier to accept the brainwashing at the end of the day. Many people will always choose pleasure over pain and style over substance. It’s only fitting that those traits be passed on to future generations as they’re growing up. It’s a vicious cycle that we can only break by becoming more comfortable with doing with is unpleasant for our own good.
The most effective medicines taste bitter, as we all know. And kids aren’t known for choosing broccoli over candy. So be a guiding hand in your child’s life so their mind isn’t rotted by outside influence through programming.
Consumption of propaganda has brought us to a point where we’re seeing overt manipulation of the public’s perception of reality. And if you’re at all concerned with the state of our elections, then you should know that propaganda also does a fantastic job of undermining our democratic process by limiting free speech and the free exchange of ideas, because the propagandists have to make sure their voices are the only voices being heard, if at all possible. It takes much of the variance out of the equation on a significant scale, making it easier for the guiding hands of tyranny to decide who is most fit to be a leader, while portraying the veneer of free and fair elections through controlling information, because it’d be a shame if someone proved the official narratives wrong and challenged the control structure.
Dissenting narratives have a way of throwing a wrench in things, after all.
But if you feel like you need proof of some grand conspiracy to control your thoughts and feelings and to censor you if you speak out, you need only take a cursory glance at the Twitter files and you’ll have all the proof you need. Considering that the FBI and DHS, among other agencies, dedicated untold resources to creating an environment where they can freely put pressure on big tech companies into violating the constitutional rights of their users by proxy, it’s not a far-fetched concept to digest.
Kicking these propagandists out of their positions of power is of paramount importance now. We’ve made some strides in this regard but the fight is never over.
True liberty requires eternal vigilance, because someone is always trying to undermine your liberty for their own personal gain.
Our future depends on getting things right from this point going forward. We’re raising tomorrow’s leaders today, raise them right.
