The IRS set to add 87,000 agents and continue arming themselves; but why?
Sounds like a nightmare, doesn't it? It gets much darker when you start exploring alternative explanations for why the IRS needs so many personnel, and why they've also been stockpiling guns and ammo.
The Inflation Reduction Act - a bill that promises to do the exact opposite of what its name suggests - seeks to weaponize the IRS against poor and middle class taxpayers by upping their workforce by a staggering 87,000 agents.
Now generally when it comes to fact-checkers and statements from the U.S. Government, I find that taking the opposite of what they say to be true is generally the best practice for sifting through the noise they put out in order to get the real purpose behind a given fact-check or decision out of them.
By doing this, based on the Washington Post article about this subject, we find passages we translate for clarity in this fashion. By doing this, we can figure out what they’re actually trying to say with this, where they describe the purpose behind the IRS’ 87,000 agent increase:
”The idea is that the government could bring in more money by examining corporate and high-income returns than it does by pursuing lower- or middle-income taxpayers who make mistakes on their returns or underpay their taxes by small amounts. The IRS in recent years has grown more dependent on those types of audits because they are relatively inexpensive: They’re automated, and they preserve the agency’s limited personnel resources. But they also mostly fall on taxpayers who can’t afford to fight back by spending hours on the phone with the tax agency or hiring lawyers.”
Translation: They’re going to be pillaging the poor and middle class via more stringent audits since it’s low-hanging fruit and they know a sternly worded letter is often all it takes to have them starve their kids for a week to pay the additional imposed tax burden.
Perhaps this is a cynical take, but it works way more than it ever should. Perhaps if our government wasn’t in the business of lying to us all the time, I wouldn’t see the point in doing so.
I suppose for my own satisfaction, I want to see the manner of these IRS agents. Because, if the fact that the IRS is stockpiling ammunition has any correlation to this latest move, not only are they going to be making sure they get every single penny out of you that they believe they’re owed, but they could be planning to take things by force.
Imagine this scenario - civil war breaks out and the citizens rise up to topple the Federal government. Members of the military are ordered to quell the rebellion, but they refuse because they don’t want to make war on their own citizens, on their own family members, even. No matter, we’ve planned ahead. Alphabet agencies who have spent years arming themselves for war go out with their loyalist “agents” to quell the rebellion instead. The constitution is then summarily suspended, and these same agents go to every registered gun owner in the country and take their weapons away, killing the ones who decided to fight back.
Far-fetched? Perhaps. I will articulate the scenario further in a subsequent article. But you can see how these things can cascade, and what the true purpose might be. Just because an agency of the Federal Government has a particular purpose right now, doesn’t mean they can’t be shifted in unique times to do another job entirely. And the scariest part? They’re not the only otherwise administrative agency stockpiling and training their personnel.
The Small Business Administration is arming themselves with glocks.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has added silencers to their glocks.
The Department of Veterans Affairs has added thousands of officers who are armed with AR-15s and semi-automatic pistols of their own
The Department of Health and Human Services agents are basically kitted out like Special Forces troops and their weapons cache is in an undisclosed location in Washington D.C.
That only scratches the surface. At least 67 non-military federal agencies are armed to the teeth and ready to wage war on the people. And if I know anything about bureaucrats, it's that they don't feel remorse, so thinking they might be merciful is foolhardy.
