The unelectables: John Fetterman
Fetterman is the Democrats' 6 million dollar man, purpose-built to somehow be entirely inarticulate to a degree Joe Biden can't even pull off while gaslighting the world.
Look at the biggest players in the Democrat establishment today, and you’ll notice a pattern. Joe Biden of course needs no introduction, nor does Nancy Pelosi, or Kamala Harris. What do they all have in common? They’re almost entirely inept.
These three names evoke memories of entirely unintelligible nonsense coming out of their mouths with a smile, and what they say that is intelligible is almost always some type of gaslighting. Well, move over, you three — there’s a new sheriff in town.
John Fetterman, Pennsylvania’s current Lieutenant Governor, who is running for Pennsylvania’s open Senate seat in November on the Democrat ticket, may be the most baffling candidate I’ve ever seen. I’m shocked that they would field such a candidate after his stroke that has clearly debilitated him, mentally and physically. Shocked until I remember that Joe Biden has had a couple of brain aneurysms and clearly has dementia, so it fits the Dems’ modus operandi.
Getting back to John Fetterman, one absolutely concerning thing is the fact that he cannot understand what someone is saying to him — a condition called aphasia that he and his campaign deny he suffers from, despite the obvious symptoms. His auditory processing skills have declined dramatically as a result of the ischemic stroke ( a stroke that blocked bloodflow to a portion of the brain, causing tissue death ) he suffered back in May of 2022. As a result, he is forced to utilize captioning technology so that he can read the words that are being said to him, effectively giving his brain time to catch up.
Standard speech is one thing, but what about when it comes to reading bills to decide whether he should vote on them or not, should he be elected to the Senate? I don’t know if you’ve read a proposed bill in its raw form, but they’re not the easiest things in the world to read and digest. The ‘legalese’ alone can take quite a bit of time to learn. I should hope as Lt. Governor of a state and a former Mayor, Fetterman is already well-versed in this sort of thing, but are we so sure that his mental faculties haven’t taken a more significant hit than doctors are letting on?
Dr. Sanjay Gupta on CNN talked about Fetterman’s difficulties as well, describing that Fetterman very likely suffered damage to the left side of his brain, where speech processing takes place in the brain.
”…it’s really interesting because you really get insight into how a stroke can affect a particular part of the brain,” said Dr. Gupta, before referring to a brain model to describe the effects such an injury can have. He continues, ”The left side of the brain is typically where have speech sort of reside in their brains, and speech means your ability to speak and write, but also to understand spoken and written words.” A concept that Fetterman’s NBC News interview aptly demonstrated to be difficult for him.
So as you can see, despite Fetterman’s primary care physician clearing him, stating he has “No work restrictions”, things are a far cry from being perfect, and I don’t know why Democrats keep going down this road of fielding candidates with brain injuries. Maybe they’re easier to control because they have to have assistance just to live. They certainly don’t seem to exhibit much in the way of principles when it comes to the stances they take, which seem to change with the winds.
Fetterman’s policy positions are everything you’ve come to expect from the left. Look up the popular leftist position on anything, and he probably holds that stance, flip-flopping to fit any situation. Like an amorphous goo, he molds to fit the container as needed. His position on cash bail, for instance, is of course to move toward abolishing cash bail entirely. He denies it nowadays, of course, because the idea of being soft on crime these days is an increasingly unpopular opinion with people in urban areas reaping what they have sown after destroying their own neighborhoods in outrage over the deaths of criminals. But you need only look back 4 years to see a very different take on the matter from Fetterman.
”We want to get rid of cash bail where it's appropriate, so we don't criminalize poverty, we don't criminalize race,” said Fetterman in 2018. Who is going to tell him that there are impoverished people of every race? Poverty doesn’t discriminate. But apparently Fetterman does, as you will soon see.
Fetterman was involved in a crime where he vandalized the sign of a black-owned business — WHILE he was the Mayor of the town, no less. He was even caught on video committing the crime. The video depicts the then-Mayor of Braddock, PA, casually strolling up to the sign and rearranging the lettering on it unbeknownst to the owner of the establishment. Of course, being the mayor of the town, he wasn’t charged with a crime. Why would he ever allow himself to be prosecuted? Rules for thee but not for me, the Democrat credo.
As if vandalizing a black-owned business wasn’t bad enough, did you know that John Fetterman also held a black jogger at gunpoint in 2013 after chasing him in his truck? If this reminds you of the Ahmaud Arbery incident, you arent alone. Luckily, though, the situation with Fetterman didn’t go down like that. He also does not apologize for it, and claims he was just acting as the mayor and chief law enforcement officer of the town at the time, though in the Democratic debate between himself, State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta, and U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb, Fetterman outright denied the incident ever happened. There is even video of Fetterman’s outright denial if you go here.
I wonder how black voters in the state of Pennsylvania will take him being part of such an incident in light of killings like that of Ahmaud Arbery and others, whether it turned deadly or not.
Malcolm Kenyatta decried the act of holding the jogger at gunpoint, but you can be forgiven if you haven’t heard a peep about it, otherwise. It was treated as a footnote at best once Fetterman became the de facto Senate candidate in PA. If a Republican candidate had done that, though? It would be front page news nationwide until after the election, guaranteed.
Kenyatta said on MSNBC about Fetterman, “What he did was wrong. And John doesn't have to be a racist to be wrong, but he was dead wrong. And the fact that we're still (sic) — 9 years later — and he cannot say two simple words 'I'm sorry', is an incredible problem.” Translation: “I’m not saying he’s a racist, but… he’s a racist.”
After that, Kenyatta also saw fit to remind the world that Braddock’s current mayor, Delia Lennon-Winstead, originally endorsed him over Fetterman for the Senate. But she later switched it to Fetterman, because party politics are still a thing and Democrats are almost entirely bereft of principles nowadays, as I’ve already demonstrated.
Leave it to the Dems to field a trainwreck for a candidate, and he still leads the polls in spite of all I’ve stated here because the Republicans decided Dr. Mehmet Oz, the TV personality who comes off as genuine as canned laughter, was their best choice. Sometimes recognition doesn’t equal electability, just saying.
Currently, Fetterman is still up 2 points in aggregate polling, according to RealClearPolitics.com, a lead that has dwindled over time, but still represents a concern even if it is within the margin of error that must be applied to all polling of this nature due to the presence of undecided voters. Optimists on the right will tell you that being within the margin of error benefits the GOP but I am still of the opinion that undecided is undecided, and a lot can change in the lead-up to election day.
I won’t hold my breath, but this midterm is already a roller coaster ride, so let’s just wait and see what happens when two unelectables collide. The immovable object meeting the unstoppable force.
