Twitter permanently bans James Lindsay, protecting the institutional left's cultish behavior
All phrases synonymous with "groomer" are now banned on Twitter after James Lindsay is permanently banned by an activist known for calling for their supporters to mass report detractors
What is it the left fears about free discourse on social media? Well, they fear the truth. Dissent means their mind control hasn’t gained absolute influence and people are still thinking for themselves. The situation with James Lindsay on Twitter is just another step toward suppressing all dissenting thought.
James Lindsay’s permanent Twitter ban came from the mass reporting of him rephrasing the word “groomer” in other ways to get around Twitter suspending him for addressing LGBT activists who advocate for talking to children about sex without their parents knowing about it as such. It’s perceived as “targeted harassment against protected groups”. Such a devious practice. Collectivism has an insiduous way of making you feel like the only way to be safe is to join the cult. Protected groups are cults using victimhood as a shield against criticism.
Here’s the tweet in question and the notice of his suspension:
To introduce the man to those who don’t know of him, James Lindsay is an American mathematician, author, and cultural critic who came to prominence by working with authors Peter Boghossian and Helen Pluckrose in the now infamous Grievance Studies Affair where they published a number of academic papers for peer review in social justice-oriented scholarly journals, 20 in all. 7 were approved.
The topics ranged from the influence stemming from witnessing implied rape culture amongst dogs interacting at dog parks and how it affects human interactions, to fat bodybuilding, and even effectively republishing text from Adolf Hitler’s book Mein Kampf in a paper about feminism. It was a brilliant way to highlight the absurdity of the woke pseudo-intellectuals ruining colleges for generations to come.
You can see why Lindsay would have a big, bright bullseye on him in the eyes of the cancel culture mobs.
Sometimes, in order to highlight someone’s stupidity and make them aware of it, you have to parody them. Unfortunately for the peer reviewers in many cases, they took the bait because they didn’t know how ridiculous they sound on a daily basis, espousing their pseudo-intellectual musings with as much polysyllabic jargon as possible to sound smart.
Of course I recognize that practice for what it is, that’s my move, I invented that move. I should qualify exactly why, though. I am from North Carolina and thus, I have a rather strong southern accent. The life of a man with an accent you might hear on the show “Moonshiners” usually means that everybody you interact with instantly underestimates your IQ by about 30 points on average the second they hear you speak.
So I had to do something, but I digress.
Twitter’s terms of service reads sort of like one of the Grievance Studies Affair papers. It’s an absurd exercise in over-intellectualizing what amounts to childish rules to suppress free thought and expression. They should’ve just talked to me, I could’ve saved them thousands of keystrokes.
I will now rewrite Twitter’s terms of service, here goes: “We can ban you for any reason or no reason at all, excluding you permanently from the global conversation for your thought crimes. Tread lightly.” There. Was that so hard?
But no, that would be entirely too on-the-nose and then people wouldn’t use the service. Except the echo chamber people who ruined every other space where discourse was meant to take place. Reddit is the first quagmire that comes to mind in that vein. I honestly think the whole thing might just be a hivemind mother brain AI talking to itself. It would explain the absolute zero tolerance for outside perspectives.
I believe this intolerance for outside perspectives inspired some of the vapid idiots James Lindsay rightfully called “child sexualization specialists” to then use their platform for calls to action to get their supporters to mass report Lindsay’s account until they finally got him kicked off the platform.
It was very creepy how it all went down. This is cult behavior, plain and simple. The fools of society have struck down another one of their intellectual betters, and we’re all worse off for it. It just means that what people like myself do is more important than ever.
We can never stop speaking out, and I believe sensible people are still very much the majority. It’s just that the Twitter bots are an effective illusion, being capable of making it look like the whole world hates you when you step out of line. Economic hitmen, eat your hearts out.
