Twitter's war on words - Tim Pool suspended
Tim Pool is just the latest prominent user on the platform to be suspended for the usage of the word 'groomer'
Once again we see the abuse of power from the left that I've talked about in other articles at play. Those on the left know the institutional power they wield, and they're not afraid to use it. In the left's latest bid to stamp out wrongthink, Twitter has capitulated to the woke mob and followed Reddit's example by banning the usage of the word 'groomer'. Twitter at least requires its usage being directed at another user as an insult before they act on it, but Reddit has just nuked the word from their platform altogether.
The first prominent instance of Twitter's ban wave concerning this word was the suspension of James Lindsay, an American mathematician, author, and cultural critic. It's really a simple formula, though, and I'll tell you why. James Lindsay first came to prominence when he participated, along with Peter Boghossian and Helen Pluckrose, in writing comedically obtuse academic papers and submitting them to academic journals that hold prominence in all things woke, such as gender identity, racial issues, women's issues, etc. This act alone would naturally paint a bullseye on him, so a hyper-leftist platform like Twitter is not going to allow him much leniency in how they enforce the rules when it comes to him.
When the left finds they can't win the war of words, or the meme wars, as it were - they resort to flexing their institutional muscle and simply seek to erase all vestiges of a 'problematic' individual from any platforms they hold sway on. It's been their favorite weapon for a while and it works a treat, but it's less effective now than ever before with the rise of truly independent alternatives to big tech strangleholds on internet discourse and even payment systems.
Twitter doesn't quite seem to be done, however. Just hours ago, Tim Pool, a prominent American Journalist, podcaster, and entrepreneur, was suspended for the exact same offense as James Lindsay - being a person with a prominent voice and a lot of reach to be heard and saying the word 'groomer'. In his case it wasn't directed at any particular individual, but I believe Twitter's enforcement saw fit to suspend him for using it as a blanket term against LGBT individuals.
Anyone who is American and who values their first amendment rights should be absolutely incensed that more words are being literally banned to satisfy the whiniest few who are really guilty as charged, if arrest records are any indication. The real problem with calling someone a groomer on social media after examining their messaging and behavior is that it accurately describes the ulterior motives of their rhetoric. I cannot imagine a single instance in my life where I've felt compelled to describe my sexual preferences to a child. Not one. There's no reason to ever do that, and the whole reason these individuals are so adamant is because they ADMITTEDLY want to GROOM your children into not only perceiving the world as they do, but hopefully those kids decide that they too are LGBT at younger and younger ages.
What is the end goal for inducing mass precocious sexuality? They want to normalize pedophilia. The unspoken 'P' in the ever-increasing LGBTQIA+-=MNO acronym stands for pedophile. But they don't call it that, they have of course re-branded it as "minor-attracted persons". How adorably disgusting. It’s time to fight fire with fire. If they want us to be on the nose with it then we shall be on the nose with it. Don’t bother calling them groomers, call them what they are - pedophiles. Make sure their employers know they’re pedophiles. I’m usually the last person to advocate for cancel culture tactics, but we have to hit them where it hurts and make sure their lives are never the same or this will always be the end result.
They want their deepest and most taboo fetishes not only to be accepted warmly by all of society, but they want to throw their hedonistic mental illnesses into the faces of anyone they deem to be their detractors. It's vengeance for decades of perceived repression by whoever didn't welcome their bizarre kinks with open arms and made them feel ashamed for such things.
I'm sure some are going to believe this is some kind of attack on LGBT folks, well, you're half-right. I would rather appeal to the sensible ones and incense the psychopaths. There are outliers in everything, it's just that the deranged outliers in the LGBT community are speaking much more loudly than their much more sensible counterparts. It's time for LGBT folks against grooming children to speak up loud and clear, and demand that the people who are giving them a bad name distance themselves from the real movement for equality that good, sensible LGBT folks started decades prior, and are now having their legacies tarnished by proxy.
We need those sensible people to also stand with those of us who want our voices to be heard without worrying about some tyrannical private entity deciding we need to be silenced. Take back your movement and take back the internet as the greatest free speech platform in the history of mankind.
On a lighter and more ironic note, though? Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Enforcing this word ban is basically admitting that you are, in fact, groomers.
