Dark Brandon Rises: A look at baffling memes meant to invigorate Biden's base
"Dark Brandon" is the left's feeble attempt at revitalizing the image of a doddering old nursing home patient.
They're so happy, they think they've found the answer, a cure-all against the calls of detractors to examine the President's mental faculties and bring up his now perpetually abysmal approval rating. The “Dark Brandon” gloating trend on Twitter right now signifies that the left thinks they have what they need to carry them through a dark November and come out the other side on top.
This ain't it, chief.
The irony is palpable as "Dark Brandon" trends on Twitter and the typical leftist Twitter bots make their predictably vapid comments, celebrating the idea at its core as a breath of life into the President that has levied a massive tax on their lives, but he's not the orange man saying mean words, because as we all know, these are the same knuckle-dragging NPCs who say moronic things like “Words are violence”. To the sniveling, weak-minded alt-milk latte class I’m sure that’s the case. But then they’re also dumb enough to believe there’s more than one version of the truth and that they’re all entitled to a perfect truth. Entitled is definitely the operative word when it comes to the noisy minority that proudly declares themselves to be left of Lenin.
So, how did Dark Brandon come about?
The meme seems to have originated early in 2022, but its usage was far more 'doom-and-gloom' in its application. It was a symbol of giving in to the despair of being stuck in a country with a useless government aspiring to be an emergent authoritarian regime that doesn't seem to ever do anything but fuck up. But now the Democrats have turned their looming despair into misguided jubilation after a drone strike killed Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in Afghanistan. This has since caused the left to co-opt the Dark Brandon meme and use it as a positive spin on a President whose lack of vigor has been called into question even by his staunchest supporters in the media.
What basically amounts to a bunch of photoshopped images has been used to paint Biden not as a doddering old man, but as a sly and cerebral leader to whom all ends justify the means, no matter how brutal they may be. It's a lame comic book veneer applied over the smouldering embers of a presidency that has been marked by one colossal failure after another. It's yet another attempt - this time going past the realm of mere fantasy into that of science fiction - to gaslight the public.
It's par for the course for the administration that has taken to gaslighting people on what constitutes a recession by literally changing the definition. This has been compounded by cooking the books on job numbers while ignoring the fact that Americans have stacked on $46 billion in new credit card debt in the second quarter of 2022 alone, as well as the fact that in that same quarter, wages only rose 1.4%. All this while inflation sits at 9.1%.
If we’re trying to paint Biden as an evil mastermind then I fully support that notion based on the fact that what he’s doing is not benefiting anyone but himself and his wealthiest donors, along with everyone to whom he’s vicariously peddled his influence via his crackhead sex addict son. These aren’t good people. A cursory glance into Joe Biden’s past will show you that. Even if we completely ignore the nefarious peddling of influence he has done both as Vice President and now as President.
Here, I got a Dark Brandon “meme” for you:
If the logic of cancel culture’s fervor holds true, then Biden’s crimes are unforgivable and he should be canceled. Ah, but forgiveness is only extended to those who opine their piety before the leftist death cult.
Dark Brandon’s glowing eyes don’t actually fix anything, they just distract you with pretty light while you’re robbed blind by his donors and Joe Biden himself as they rape and pillage the U.S. economy for whatever it has left.
